We’re excited to share a new pan-Canadian research initiative, Pan-GEM (Genomic, Environmental, and Mental Health Data), focused on better understanding mental health in children and youth. This large collaborative study aims to explore how genetic factors and life experiences work together to influence mental health, with the goal of improving early support, care, and outcomes for young people.

Pan-GEM will bring together researchers across Canada to study thousands of children and youth. APrON is proud to be one of the cohort studies contributing to this initiative, helping to advance this important work. Findings from Pan-GEM will help shape future care, policies, and supports for families.
As an APrON participant, you are invited to take part or learn more about this study. Click here to participate now or reach out to us at apron@ucalgary.ca if you want to learn more!
