About Our Participants

Ever wonder how many other APrON babies share the same name as your son or daughter? The word chart above shows the most common baby names in APrON. Names with larger font size are more common while names with smaller font size are less common.

If you cannot find your baby’s name in the chart, don’t pull your magnifying glass out just yet! Only names that were given to at least 3 APrON babies are represented in the word chart above.

I am interested in how the best evidence is used to make decisions for health, and the APrON study was an opportunity to contribute to that evidence. Now that my son is old enough to take an interest in science, it has been great to share with him a way to contribute to medical research by participating in the ongoing follow-up visits.

Being part of a study that began in pregnancy has been so rewarding, especially since my child can now participate in it too.

We, as a family, have enjoyed being part of the APrON study. It is fantastic to know that just answering few questions and giving some samples can help such an important research. Even though we moved to the UK few years ago, we have found being part of the APrON contributors so rewarding, that we continued participating from here. We are so happy they are celebrating 10 years of great work! Congratulations everyone! Well Done!

When I was pregnant, I saw the opportunity to give information with the University of Calgary, I thought, what a great way to contribute to learning. 10 years later, they have gained more understanding and knowledge, and I’m so happy my son and I could be a part of the APrON journey.
